The following guide should be a help for the correct fastening of hammocks. Due to the fact that hammocks with spreader and without are totally different concepts, the information below only belongs to hammocks without spreader bar and a length of approx. 360 cm. For larger hammocks, please add sufficient space between the trees. Hammocks with spreader bar shouldn't sag that much down like hammocks without spreader bar.
Hammocks without spreader bars are hung so that they sag way down. The hanging loops of the hammocks are fastened at approx. head height and about 3 m apart.
Hammocks are fastened using ropes (tree / beam) or hooks (wall or ceiling for hanging chairs). If trees or walls are further apart, the hammocks can be extended by ropes or chains. The suspension point then needs to be selected somewhat higher.
